Known as one of Astoria’s hidden gems, T Studio is located in the historic ASW building, which dates back to the early 1800’s and was once the Astoria Silk Works factory. The building is now home to Long Island City’s most creative artists, musicians, and photographers. The history of the space is evident in its industrial characteristics: high ceilings, cement floors, and a century-old smokestack on our terrace. These amenities allow clients to veer from the traditional and create events that are as timeless as they are contemporary, with unlimited design options. T Studio hosts weddings, bridal and baby showers, cocktail parties, meetings, film screenings, exhibits, trunk shows, photo shoots and special events. HELP CENTER
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY?
Our capacity is 75 people.
DO YOU HAVE EXCLUSIVE VENDORS OR CAN I HIRE MY OWN?
Your welcome to bring in your own vendors for catering, décor, photography and floral, as long as each vendor understands and follows all guidelines for our facility. We require a list of all vendors including contact information, in advance of your event and each vendor must submit a valid Certificate of Insurance to us in advance of your event.
We are happy to offer a list of recommended vendors upon request!
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN ALCOHOL (BYOB)?
No, You cannot bring in your own alcohol. T Studio will provide alcohol for your event. Please inquire about our bar packages.
DO YOU HAVE AN OUTDOOR SPACE?
Yes. French doors lead out to our beautiful 1200 sq ft adjoined rooftop terrace on which stands an historical smokestack - one of the few remaining in this area.
IS THIS BUILDING WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, there is an elevator from the street to the second floor.
IS THERE A KITCHEN?
Yes, there is a kitchen prep area which includes:
2 refrigerators,1 freezer
1 microwave, 1 convection oven
electrical induction stovetop,
2 compartment sink, ice machine
2 trash bins and 2 bus buckets
Please note: garbage bags provided by caterer as well as any additional prep equipment.
IS THERE A PRIVATE ROOM/LOFT SPACE AVAILABLE?
Yes, a loft space is available for an additional cost, please inquire for additional information
AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEAN-UP?
Yes, In order to get your full security deposit back; you and or your caterer must complete the following break-down procedures immediately after your event:
Room to be broom swept
All rentals must be neatly stacked and ready for pick-up at side door
Decor and lighting etc. must be removed
Garbage must be recycled plastic bags and brought to garbage room
WHAT TRANSPORTATION CAN I USE TO GET TO YOUR SPACE?
By car- We are just a few blocks from the Grand Central Parkway, Triboro Bridge, Brooklyn Queens Expressway.
By subway- N & W trains from Manhattan to Astoria Ditmars Blvd
Parking- Street parking, 2 municipal parking lots nearby.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN RENTALS (FURNITURE, TABLES, CHAIRS, CHINA, GLASSWARE, FLATWARE, SERVICE EQUIPMENT, PIPE AND DRAPES, ETC.)?
No. All rentals must be ordered through T Studio. You are welcome to bring in your own linens and any plasticware and / or paperware.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?
No. T Studio has down-lighting and dance lighting included. For any additional lighting needs (indoor / outdoor uplighting, etc.), we have an in-house lighting company that can provide you with any specialty lighting needs.
DOES T STUDIO HAVE A PROJECTOR?
Yes. T Studio has an in house projector that is included in your rental. Please inquire about
